David Fisher is now based in the UK, where he returned to after spending three and a half years travelling and busking across nearly 50 countries, including every country in the EU. His experiences during this time formed the basis of the ‘Busking Beyond Borders‘ project – an album and a book chronicling these years. The critically-acclaimed album was released in December 2018, receiving comparisons to artists such as Gordon Lightfoot, Richard Thompson and Bob Dylan.

His debut album, ‘Fire in the Sky‘, produced by the Grammy-nominated Michael Henry, was released in June 2017. The album received airtime on on BBC WM radio among others.

He has headlined at folk clubs around the country as well as opening for renowned artists such as Jackie Oates.

David’s busking has led to him being featured in the Guardian, BBC News, ABC News and Indian national television. He is a co-director of Keep Streets Live, an organisation that campaigns for the preservation of public space and, in particular, the rights of street performers.
